Asia
254 cases
In 2019 and 2020, Asia had the second highest share of recorded assassinations, after the Americas. The majority of victims were politicians and party affiliates. However, members of law enforcement and the judiciary, as well as the military, were, compared to other continents, disproportionately targeted. South Asia saw the highest number of recorded assassinations on the continent.
